A Wedding Of Many Traditions

Wedding Decorations
Historic Wilmington Fall Wedding

Sephora and Marion Findling were married on a beautiful October day on the back deck of 128 South Events in Downtown Wilmington, NC.

Sephora, being an avid origami artist, handmade over 1000 paper cranes that were incorporated into their wedding decor throughout the venue. The Brides were even married beneath a backdrop made entirely of paper cranes overlooking the cape fear river.

Both Brides wore gorgeous Wedding dresses in their own style. Sephora’s with a purple hombre accent around the bottom. Marion’s was off white and covered in lace.

After their ceremony was complete, the Brides stomped on a glass while the crowd cheered “mosoltov!”

Guests listened to golden oldies and enjoyed a cocktail hour on the back deck while the Brides and their wedding party took pictures around Historic Downtown Wilmington. Upon their return, the Brides danced their first dance to a French cover of “Perfect” by Ed Sheeran in honor of Sephora’s French roots.

After a delicious dinner catered by 128 South Events, guests reconvened on the back deck for wedding cake, s’mores and of course, dancing! In the Jewish Tradition, “hava nagila” was played while guests danced the hora around the Newlyweds. They danced the rest of the evening away to their favorite artists including Demi Lovato, Justin Timberlake, and some Spice Girls and Backstreet Boys throwbacks.

On the way out the door, guests grabbed a party favor and a sparkler to see the beautiful Brides off into their new life. Congratulations to The Findlings!
