Traditional Love

Bride and Groom playing the wedding shoe game

The sun shone above and the sea roared behind as Kafea and Malik Carter were married on a beautiful secluded beach in Pine Knolls Shores, NC. Guests enjoyed a wedding ceremony filled with culture and age old traditions passed down from generations before. After the young couple said “I Do” they jumped the very same broomstick that the Groom’s parents jumped at their wedding thirty years ago.

The wedding reception was held at The Country Club of The Crystal Coast And was absolutely stunning. Blush uplighting and a monogram designed by the couple themselves was provided by Regal Events DJ. A fairy string backdrop illuminated the sweetheart table which overlooked the dance floor.

The Country Club provided a delicious dinner and Wedding cake was enjoyed for dessert. There was much in the way of entertainment for guests as the couple incorporated the traditional “dollar dance” from Jamaican culture as well as the shoe game and anniversary dance into their itinerary. There was also a projector with slide shows of the couple’s life together and a photo booth!

Dance music was provided by Regal Events DJ who seamlessly blended a combination of reggae tunes with Motown, funk, and today’s hip hop.

At the end of the evening the Bride and Groom exited down a line of their loved ones holding sparklers to light their way. Congratulations to Mr and Mrs Carter!
